Amal Reflections
What do I say now, I am just short of the words? When someone around me says a word ‘impact’, my mind automatically thinks about the Amal Academy. Although short but really a meaningful journey I had here. In future, whenever I would apply a set of skills that I learned or improved during this period, I would be grateful to Amal Academy for its services.
Most influential impact that I can feel in myself is that I am building up a routine to write a cover letter along with my resume before sending it to any organization. I am also developing my habits to show gratitude through my actions. Change in my preference for writing a #Superpartner cover letter is entirely because of the lovely Amal Academy. Before this fellowship, I was unaware about the purpose and significance of writing a good cover letter. Amal Academy has helped me in learning everything about it. Similarly, I have learnt to express my emotions through gratitude by showing with actions. Although I had these feelings earlier also, but Amal Academy guided me to realize the power of showing gratitude.
As soon as, I came to know about an effective method of drafting an impactful cover letter, I have made it my crucial habit to attach a customized letter with my resume every time before applying against each vacancy. I now think of cover letter as a part of my resume. My narrative has completely updated. I believe that as the competition in the market is very tough therefore, you must manage to go some extra mile through your cover letter along with your superhero resume document. Also, expressing your gratitude is another way to do it.
Happiest thing that I feel about this my new habit/change of writing cover letter is that I also encouraged 2 of my close friends, to adopt this step. I guided them completely in drafting a perfect cover letter. I also reminded them multiple times about this letter at useful occasions. They also did not know about its use earlier, but now they often feel grateful to me and I indirectly pay tribute, also from their side, towards the Amal family.
Just analyzing my skill set and network range right before 3 months ago, I can express a substantial change in my performance. I am now much more focused towards my goals. I often try to prioritize my activities according the Pomodoro technique. I timely try to update my long-term goals into short term SMART ones. I strictly follow attaching a customized cover letter with my resume before being a candidate for almost each open position. I now try to express my gratitude more frequently no matter it is for my teacher, friend, or a family member. In fact, I am becoming more positive, reflective, or indirectly more responsible and mature just because of such a huge love from the facilitators at Amal Academy.
