I remember that when I got my selection mail from Amal academy, I felt very confused. I had a very busy routine those days. Fortunately, a thing happened that compelled me to continue this fellowship. I did not want to share but I think it is time. I often get a clue in my dream from Almighty Allah. The same thing happened about the fellowship. I saw a dream that was linked with the positive consequences of joining this fellowship. The very next day, I agreed to join the party.

Yes, my sixth sense gives clues in my dreams!

The first 2 weeks of the program were very crucial for my decision. Although it was a great opportunity for me to make new friends and expand my circle still, I faced several issues in managing my time. As the fellowship needed to complete few online courses and weekly project works therefore once I thought to quit.

Luckily, at the end of 2nd week, when we modified our goals into the smart ones during the session, I made a promise to myself. I had known that if I somehow manage my time and be productive then this fellowship can make a difference in my personality.

Amal Story relates…

The first two weeks of fellowship at Amal Academy remind me of the fresh sunrise after the sunset. A new vision, a lot of wisdom to learn, and a lot of change in my career. Sunsets are a perfect reminder to relax and refresh our hearts and minds at the end of each day. I was hoping for sunrise in my casual routine during an initial couple of weeks at Amal Academy.

The hope of new dawn comes with every sunset!

Furthermore, I can also relate my initial couple of weeks or even my whole #AmalStory with a famous and one of my favorite cricketers ‘Muhammad Rizwan’. I clearly remember that the national cricket team of Pakistan was on the tour of New Zealand during my 1st month at Amal Academy. I would love to relate my situation with Muhammad Rizwan.

Muhammad Rizwan (Present wicket-keeper batsman of our national cricket team)

Unfortunately, Caption of the national T20 team, Babar Azam [Bobby bhai} got injured before the start of the series. Now, the national squad already had limited openers in it.

Team management took a strange decision and tried out Muhammad Rizwan as an opener. It was a 3 match T20 series and the performance of Muhammad Rizwan in this memorable series clearly collides with my initial days at Amal Academy.

In the first two matches of the series, Muhammad Rizwan failed to impress. Everyone trolled him and even said that “He is not the white ball cricketer”. But in the 3rd T20 match, Muhammad Rizwan had a great belief and proved his ability. He smashed full of power 89 runs off just 59 balls. Everyone was surprised and shocked. Pakistan won that only match in the series but who knew that this match would give us the best opener in form of Muhammad Rizwan. I think that my first 2 weeks at Amal Academy were just like a similar case. I had a lack of self-belief. But later, I promised myself to perform with my full strength in upcoming weeks just like Muhammad Rizwan did in the 3rd T20 international match against New Zealand.

Yes, ‘I m Possible!’

Muhammad Rizwan did not stop after that brilliant performance. We saw the same in a recent series against South Africa. However, the main thing is that my initial weeks’ experience with Amal Academy just exactly correlates with Muhammad Rizwan T20 performance started at the NZ series.

In short, there were many new things that I examined during the early 2 weeks in the fellowship. I came to many things that I never knew before like blog writing on Medium, online courses on Teachable, knowhow about the Zoom app, discovered my life map, set my principal values, connected my dots by looking in the past, and specially converted my goals into the smart ones. There are also numerous other things, but these were what kept me engaged in the early days of the program.

This fellowship gave me a chance to discover the real inside of myself!

I was able to know many things about my character during this lovely journey. Now, I am more focused, responsible, and mature as compared to what I was 3 months earlier. All because of my lovely, hardworking, caring, passionate, and amazing facilitators.

Special thanks to Amal and I am very grateful to Ma’am Arfa and Sir Noor 😊
